The Youth Contribute is a non-profit charity organization and our first of many goals is to help people with special needs in Kuwait. We are holding an exhibition by the name of GIVE to help spread awareness for those less privileged than us and all the profit from the exhibition will be donated to help people with special needs. All types of booths are welcome in the exhibition, and certain events will be held throughout the day to promote our cause. The exhibition will take place in the Movenpick Ballrooms (Free Zone) on the 12th of May, from 12PM-10PM.

Registration is now open for entry into the 2012 PAWS annual dog show. The show will take place in the beautiful gardens of the British Embassy on Friday March 9th from 11AM to 4PM. There will be stalls at the dog show selling a variety of merchandise, activities for the children, refreshment stalls and of course the main attraction will be the dog competition categories.

The Palestinian Culture Center in cooperation with Bayt Lothan invite you to its fall exhibition. The exhibition aims to preserve the Palestinian handicrafts to reaffirm the Palestinian national identity as well as empowering refugee women in the camps.

We display classic designs intertwined with modern uses, colors, and motifs to showcase some of the creativity of the Palestinian women. Items on sale include: cushions, runners, scarves, shawls, long traditional dresses as well as smaller items. They also have handmade ceramics from Palestine, books, music and movies.

On Thursday evening there will be folklore dabble dance, children’s activities and a bake sale of traditional foods.

BSK are holding a event to raise money for Breast Cancer research. The event is going by the name ‘Pink Tuesday’ and it will be held this Tuesday the 18th of September. There’s going to be a netball tournament (which was open for registration but all places have already been filled up), a bake sale, a raffle draw, and a ‘Bag & Bling Sale’ where they will be selling bags (including designer ones) and jewelry that people have donated. The first prize for the raffle draw will also be a 200KD designer bag. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Breakthrough Breast Cancer in the UK. Everyone is welcomed.

Four students from Al-Bayan Bilingual School are putting together a small fund raising event with all the proceeds going towards cancer research. The four students have had friends and relatives diagnosed with the disease and they’re hoping the money made from this event will help in the struggle to finding a cure. With the support of some sponsors they rented the ballroom at the Movenpick Hotel in the free trade zone and rented out booths to different businesses. It’s kinda like an indoor carnival which is convenient with the weather we’re currently having. So pass by them this Saturday and buy something.
